Deadpool is one of my favorite superhero and Marvel movie. I saw it in the theater when it came out, but I’ve rewatched it like 4 or 5 times since then.

Before he became Deadpool, our anti-hero used to be called Wade Wilson, and he was an ex-military turned mercenary. After he was diagnosed with deadly cancer, he registered for an experiment that was supposed to help him get cured. But the experiment gave him accelerated healing power, turning him into Deadpool. But now, he will go after the man who ruined his life and forced him to give up his fiancée.

Okay, so as I said before, I’ve watched Deadpool 5 times since it came out 5 years ago, and I plan on seeing it again soon since it’s on Disney+.

I loved this movie. It’s was funny, heartfelt, and full of action! Before I saw it, I didn’t really know the character, but he’s my brother’s favorite superhero, so he kind of explained his backstory to me. (And if you’re curious, mine is Scarlet Witch). And I ended up loving this movie way more than I thought I would.

I can rarely watch an action movie more than twice, but with this one, I feel like I could see it once a year and never get tired of it. The movie starts with Wade Wilson, already in costume and looking for revenge. It’s only after a few minutes that we figure out why he’s doing what he’s doing.

When we get Wade’s backstory, I didn’t expect that part to be heartfelt and for his relationship with Vanessa to be so cute. Especially given everything my brother told me about the character.

Should you watch Deadpool?

Yes, you should absolutely watch it. Whether you like superhero movies or not, the movie is just great and really entertaining!
