Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda

I finally saw Kung Fu Panda! I know I’m super late and almost everyone has already watched it. But I have to admit that there is a lot of movies that I haven’t seen yet. And Kung Fu Panda was one of them, which is why I decided to take advantage of the lockdown here in France. And watch a bunch of movies that I hadn’t had time to watch yet.

There will be a few reviews that are from movies I saw or books I read during the lockdown. Even recipes I did to pass the time. But you don’t need to know all of this, because right now, I’m doing a review for Kung Fu Panda!

Synopsis

Passionate, strong, and somewhat clumsy, Po is, without a doubt, the biggest kung fu fan. A waiter in his father’s noodle restaurant, his skill has yet to be proven.

Elected to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po joins the world of kung fu to learn martial arts from his idols. The legendary Five Cyclones: Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, and Monkey, under the guidance of their teacher and trainer, Master Shifu.

But Tai Lung, the deceitful Snow Leopard, driven by a desire for vengeance, is fast approaching, and it is Po who will be in charge of defending the valley against this growing threat.

Or you can watch the trailer if you want to, right here.

Review

As I said before, it was my first time watching Kung Fu Panda, and it was a blast! It took about 30 minutes for me to get sucked into the movie and the story. But once I did, it was great.

I watched it with my sister and straight away went to watch the second one. The story was really fresh and well done. And honestly, this movie reminded me why I loved Dreamworks and their work.

I just had kind of a problem with the way Po was treated at the beginning. But, even then, I managed to really enjoy this movie.

Should you watch it?

Yes, I would recommend that you watch it! It’s a great family movie that everyone can enjoy.
